A new research paper titled “Defending Against FDIAs on the Measurements of WAMS-based Damping Controllers via Augmented Autoencoder and Cooperative Control,” co-authored by M. B. Vavdareh, M. Ghafouri, and A. Ameli, has been published in IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation & Measurement.

The paper presents a resilient control framework that enhances the security of WAMS-based damping controllers against FDIA. By combining an augmented autoencoder with cooperative control strategies, the proposed method detects compromised measurements and maintains stable system operation under adversarial conditions in modern power grids.
