The SPEARS Lab has been awarded funding through the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF) to support the development of advanced research infrastructure for cyber-secure protection of modern power grids.
The project enables the establishment of a cyber-physical testbed for realistic testing and validation of protection systems under cyber threats, with a focus on renewable-rich and digitally interconnected grid environments.
This milestone strengthens the research capabilities of the SPEARS Lab and supports the development of reliable, secure, and intelligent solutions for next-generation power systems.
